• **Account Data:** Your email address (for login and verification) and a cryptographically hashed version of your password (for security).
• **Connection Data:** The unique six-character pairing code you generate, and the numerical ID of your linked partner.
• **Interaction Data:** The type of action (e.g., 'Love', 'Angry'), the associated emoji, the optional note, and the timestamp of the interaction.

2. Data Usage and Sharing (Absolute Transparency)

We believe your personal interactions belong only to you and your partner.

• **Shared Only Between Partners:** All Interaction Data is transmitted and stored solely for the purpose of sharing that specific information with your single, linked partner and displaying your joint history.
• **No Third-Party Sharing:** We **do not, and will never, sell, rent, or share** your personal data, interaction history, or email address with third-party advertisers or marketing companies.
• **No Internal Monitoring:** Except as necessary for technical maintenance or in response to a valid legal order (Section 5), LinkOurHearts personnel do not access or monitor your private interaction content.

3. Security Measures (Data Protection)

We implement robust technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information:

• **Password Hashing:** Your password is never stored in plain text; it is stored as a secure hash using bcrypt.
• **JWT Verification:** We use secure JSON Web Tokens (JWT) for email verification to confirm account ownership during registration.
• **Secure Data Transfer:** All communications between your app and our servers use secure protocols (HTTPS/WSS) to prevent eavesdropping.

4. Your Controls and Rights

• Access: You can view your full interaction history and profile data within the application at any time.
• Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): You can delete your account directly within the app settings. Alternatively, if you are unable to access the app, you may request the complete deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@linkourhearts.com. We will delete all your data within 30 days of your request.

5. Legal Disclosures

We will only disclose your information if we are legally required to do so in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or other governmental request. We commit to notifying you of such requests whenever legally permitted.
